Samsung Q60D QLED 4K Smart TV Overview
The Samsung Q60D price in Kenya: Ask for the current price. Choose 55, 65, 75 or 85 inches to check the current price and availability of your preferred configuration. It is a practical option for streaming, television and everyday console use when you want Samsung’s Tizen interface and quantum-dot colour. Compare the TCL C655 if Google TV and size-specific audio features are also on your shortlist.
QLED colour in a slim television
The Q60D uses quantum-dot colour with Quantum Processor Lite 4K processing. Dual LED is Samsung’s backlight terminology; it should not be mistaken for OLED pixel-level control or a full-array Mini LED system. The processor helps scale lower-resolution material, while good-quality 4K content makes better use of the screen.
Samsung’s Africa reference supports HDR10+ Adaptive and Filmmaker Mode. HDR compatibility does not mean every film will have the brightness or black-level performance of a higher-tier television. The Q60D is best assessed as a slim everyday QLED rather than a flagship home-cinema display. It does not support Dolby Vision.
55, 65, 75 or 85 inches?
The 55-inch model is a manageable choice for a smaller lounge. The official QA55Q60DAUXKE reference is 1,232.1 mm wide, with a stand footprint of 896.2 × 224 mm, 200 × 200 mm VESA mounting and a weight of 15.8 kg with its stand. Check these against the exact unit supplied.
The 65-inch option adds screen area for films and sport without stepping into the largest sizes. Choose 75 inches when a larger view is the priority and the room can accommodate it. The 85-inch version needs the most careful checks for furniture width, mounting capacity and delivery access. Each size has different installation measurements, so the 55-inch figures cannot be applied across the range.
Understand the 50Hz and 4K/60Hz specifications
Samsung lists a 50Hz refresh specification for the Africa reference and confirms 4K/60Hz input on all three HDMI ports. It is not a 4K/120Hz gaming model. ALLM can switch a compatible console into a lower-latency mode, but that does not add high-refresh or VRR capability.
For casual console play this can be enough. If high-frame-rate gaming is central to your purchase, compare the Samsung S90D and its compatible high-refresh inputs before deciding. Keep picture interpolation and actual source frame rate separate when comparing specifications.
Tizen, connections and sound
Tizen provides supported streaming apps, while SmartThings and AirPlay offer connected-device options. App availability, accounts, subscriptions and internet access depend on the service and region. The reference includes three HDMI inputs, two USB-A ports, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2 and eARC/ARC support.
The 20W two-channel speakers suit routine listening. OTS Lite adds sound processing, and Q-Symphony can combine the TV with a compatible Samsung soundbar. A soundbar is a separate addition unless specifically bundled; confirm compatibility and reserve the eARC connection if you plan to use one.
Package and setup
Check the selected television, stand components, SolarCell Remote, power cable and documentation at delivery. The reference TM2360E remote is rechargeable, so do not expect disposable remote batteries to be required for it. Wall brackets and HDMI leads should be selected separately unless included in the offer.
