DJI Mavic 4 Pro Drone Overview
The DJI Mavic 4 Pro price in Kenya is KShs 398,500. Choose this triple-camera drone when a shoot needs wide establishing shots, compressed backgrounds and distant details without relying on a single camera’s digital crop. For a smaller dual-camera travel setup, compare the DJI Air 3S Drone; the Mavic 4 Pro earns its extra size through its larger main sensor, longer telephoto reach and more flexible camera movement.
Three cameras with different jobs
The 100MP Hasselblad main camera combines a 4/3 sensor with a 28mm-equivalent lens and adjustable f/2–f/11 aperture. It suits landscapes, buildings and wide scenes where you want room to crop a photograph or adjust exposure without changing shutter speed alone. The 48MP medium tele camera uses a 1/1.3-inch sensor and 70mm-equivalent f/2.8 lens, useful for isolating a vehicle or drawing a background closer. The 50MP tele camera extends to 168mm equivalent with a 1/1.5-inch sensor and f/2.8 lens. These are three distinct viewpoints, not a continuous optical zoom lens.
Video limits vary by camera. The Hasselblad camera records up to 6K/60fps HDR, with 4K/120fps slow motion. The medium tele camera also reaches 4K/120fps slow motion; the longest tele reaches 4K/100fps. All three support 4K/60fps HDR. Match the lens and recording mode to the shot before take-off rather than assuming every resolution is available across the system.
Infinity Gimbal and an editing workflow to match
The Infinity Gimbal allows full 360-degree roll rotation and upward shooting to 70 degrees, opening up rotating reveals and low-angle compositions that a conventional forward-facing gimbal cannot make as freely. Main-camera vertical recording reaches 4K/60fps; the tele cameras offer up to 2.7K/60fps vertically. D-Log, D-Log M and HLG give experienced editors options for colour-managed work, while a normal profile is more straightforward for quick delivery.
Standard and Fly More aircraft have 64GB nominal internal storage, with approximately 42GB usable. The Creator aircraft increases this to 512GB nominal, approximately 460GB usable, and adds 10-bit 4:2:2 ALL-I recording. That is a workflow upgrade for heavier grading and editing, with much larger files to transfer and store. It is not simply the same aircraft with a bigger memory card.
Which Mavic 4 Pro package should you choose?
- Standard Kit (RC 2): the 64GB aircraft, screen-equipped DJI RC 2, one flight battery, one spare propeller pair, storage cover, two USB-C cables and DJI 100W USB-C power adapter. This is the leanest kit for shorter sessions.
- Fly More Combo (RC 2): the same recording platform and controller with three batteries in total, four spare propeller pairs, storage cover, two USB-C cables, 100W adapter, shoulder bag and parallel charging hub. Choose it when battery swaps and carrying the complete kit matter more than ALL-I recording.
- 512GB Creator Combo (RC Pro 2): the 512GB aircraft with ALL-I support, RC Pro 2 and its 7-inch Mini-LED display, three batteries, four spare propeller pairs, storage cover, high-speed USB-C cable, 240W adapter, shoulder bag and parallel charging hub. It is the stronger fit for demanding production work and faster multi-battery charging.
Select the exact package to see its price and availability. ND filters are additional accessories, not included in these three factory packages. Check the supplied mains lead against your charging setup and add a compatible microSD card if you need removable storage.
Battery endurance, charging and obstacle sensing
DJI quotes a maximum 51-minute flight under controlled conditions, with the battery used from full to empty. Actual filming time is shorter once wind, manoeuvres, recording and a safe return reserve are considered. Three batteries provide three separate flights; they do not turn that laboratory figure into uninterrupted flying time.
The charging hub behaves differently with the supplied adapter. With the 100W adapter, charging is sequential. The Creator Combo’s 240W supply enables parallel charging after the battery levels are balanced, with DJI quoting about 90 minutes for three batteries on a 200–240V supply under its test conditions. Allow cooling time after a flight and do not treat a hub alone as a charger.
Omnidirectional vision, forward LiDAR and infrared sensing support obstacle detection and return functions, including suitable low-light scenes. They still need appropriate conditions and do not guarantee detection of wires, thin branches or every surface. The aircraft weighs approximately 1,063g; it is a substantial camera platform rather than a pocket drone. Plan an open take-off area and keep the aircraft within a safe operating environment.
Is it worth choosing over a smaller drone?
For paid landscape, property and commercial video work, the three focal lengths, adjustable aperture and advanced gimbal can make the extra weight worthwhile. If portability is your first priority, the DJI Mini 5 Pro Drone offers a much smaller single-camera alternative. Existing DJI Mavic 3 Pro owners should weigh the newer cameras, gimbal and recording workflow against the work their present kit already delivers.
For detailed recording combinations, storage requirements and test conditions, consult DJI’s official Mavic 4 Pro specifications. Choose the package around your controller, battery and editing needs, not the headline resolution alone.

- Infinity Gimbal expands aerial camera movement and vertical compositions.
- All three cameras support 4K/60fps HDR.
- Creator Combo adds substantial internal storage and ALL-I recording.
- Fly More and Creator packages include three batteries, a hub and shoulder bag.
Cons
- Approximately 1,063g aircraft is less convenient for light travel than a Mini drone.
- ALL-I recording and RC Pro 2 require the more expensive Creator Combo.
- Camera frame-rate limits differ, and obstacle sensing cannot guarantee collision avoidance.
What is the difference between the three Mavic 4 Pro packages?
Standard includes the 64GB aircraft, RC 2, one battery and 100W adapter. Fly More adds two batteries, more spare propellers, a charging hub and shoulder bag. Creator includes a 512GB aircraft with ALL-I recording, RC Pro 2, three batteries, a hub, bag and 240W adapter. Select the exact package for its current price.
Does the standard Mavic 4 Pro support ALL-I recording?
No. ALL-I 10-bit 4:2:2 recording is a feature of the 512GB Creator version. Standard and Fly More aircraft use the regular H.265 recording workflow.
Can all three cameras record 6K video?
No. 6K/60fps HDR is available on the Hasselblad main camera. All three cameras support 4K/60fps HDR. For slow motion, the main and medium tele reach 4K/120fps, while the longest tele reaches 4K/100fps.
Does Mavic 4 Pro need a phone as its flight screen?
The packages here include either DJI RC 2 or DJI RC Pro 2, both with built-in displays. RC 2 has a 5.5-inch display; RC Pro 2 has a larger 7-inch Mini-LED display. Initial setup and online services may still require an internet connection.
How much internal storage is usable?
DJI lists approximately 42GB usable from the standard 64GB nominal storage and 460GB usable from the Creator version’s 512GB nominal storage. A compatible microSD card provides removable storage; choose a card from DJI’s recommended list for your recording mode.
Will it fly for 51 minutes while filming?
51 minutes is a controlled maximum flight-time test, not a promised filming session. Wind, movement, camera use, temperature and the reserve needed to return and land reduce practical flight time.
Are a charger, ND filters and memory card included?
A 100W power adapter is included with Standard and Fly More; Creator includes a 240W adapter. The factory kit lists do not include ND filters or a microSD card. Fly More and Creator also include the charging hub.
Does the parallel charging hub charge three batteries together with every adapter?
No. The included 100W supply in Fly More charges batteries sequentially. The 240W supply in Creator supports parallel charging after battery levels are balanced; charge time also depends on temperature and mains voltage.
Can obstacle sensing make night flights risk-free?
No. Low-light vision and LiDAR assist sensing, but performance depends on the scene and operating conditions. Thin obstacles and unsuitable surfaces remain hazards. Keep clear of obstacles and maintain a safe return reserve.
