Is Nintendo Switch V2 the same as Nintendo Switch 2?

No. V2 is the 2019 HAC-001(-01) revision of the original Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch 2 is a separate newer platform.

What changed from the original 2017 Switch?

The revised model’s main benefit is improved power efficiency and a quoted battery range of approximately 4.5–9 hours. It retains the original Switch game platform and three play modes.

Can it connect to a TV?

Yes. The included dock, AC adapter and HDMI cable support output up to 1080p to a compatible television.

Does it have an OLED screen?

No. V2 uses a 6.2-inch LCD touchscreen at 1280 × 720. The separate Switch OLED model has a 7-inch OLED screen.

Does every special edition include its matching game?

No. A themed console is not automatically a game bundle. Animal Crossing packages differed by region; Mario Red & Blue was not a Mario game bundle. Monster Hunter, Fortnite and Dragon Quest launch packages had their own software extras, which should be confirmed for the supplied unit.

Are the dock and charger included?

Yes. The Nintendo Switch dock, Nintendo Switch AC adapter and HDMI cable are included.

Can two people play with the included Joy-Con?

In games supporting one Joy-Con per player, yes. Other games require additional or full-size controllers. Check each title’s requirements.

How much storage does it have?

V2 has 32GB internal storage, with some reserved for system use. Compatible microSD cards expand space for downloads.

How long does the battery last?

Nintendo quotes approximately 4.5–9 hours for HAC-001(-01), depending on the game and usage. Charging in sleep mode takes approximately three hours.

Does it play Switch 2-exclusive games?

No. It supports Nintendo Switch software, not games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2.

Does the standard dock include an Ethernet port?

No. A compatible separate LAN adapter is needed for wired networking with the standard V2 dock. Wi-Fi is built into the console.

Is Nintendo Switch Online needed?

Many paid games require it for online multiplayer. Many offline games and local multiplayer modes do not, and individual games may have exceptions.

Do the editions change graphics or storage?

No. These editions use the same V2 platform, 32GB storage and 6.2-inch LCD. Their designs and regional bundle contents are the meaningful differences.

Are Wildcat content, V-Bucks or regional game codes guaranteed?

Not solely by the edition name. Nintendo’s original Fortnite bundle included Wildcat content and 2,000 V-Bucks, but unused code inclusion and applicable region must be confirmed for the supplied package. The same principle applies to regional game and bonus codes in other editions.
