Change perspective without changing the whole rig

Insta360 Luna Ultra uses a 1-inch wide camera and a separate 1/1.3-inch telephoto camera. Their 20mm and 60mm equivalent focal lengths cover an environmental view and a tighter portrait. The wide lens is f/1.8 and the tele lens f/2.0. This is the meaningful hardware difference from the single-lens Luna Pro. A three-axis gimbal stabilises camera rotation, and the detachable OLED screen lets you check composition when standing away from the camera.

Separate optical reach from the digital headline

The two cameras provide a 3x optical focal-length change. Higher zoom, up to 15x in supported modes and firmware, includes digital processing; it is not 15x optical magnification. The Zoom Bundle adds the genuine Ultra Telephoto Lens, an accessory rather than a different sensor in the camera. For stage and distant-subject work, check the intended mode, framing and firmware before relying on the longest setting. The tele camera’s 15cm minimum focus distance also differs from the wide camera’s 9cm.

Record for your editing and publishing workflow

The model supports 8K/30fps landscape recording and up to 4K/120fps, with native upright video up to 4K/30fps in the current specifications. Dolby Vision and 10-bit I-Log provide different colour workflows. Use I-Log when you plan to colour-correct the footage; it is not automatically the quickest finished look. UltraPhoto reaches 37MP. The much larger 200MP Scenic Panorama claim uses a panorama capture process rather than a single 200MP sensor exposure.

Manage remote framing, audio and backup

The 2-inch OLED screen can detach for remote framing, and Deep Track 5.0 helps keep the selected subject composed. Four microphones are distributed between the body and screen; select the correct audio source when changing your setup. The current Creator Bundle includes Mic Pro, whereas Vlog includes Mic Air. Compatible microphones can connect through supported wireless or USB-C routes. Internal storage is 47GB, with microSD expansion up to 2TB; make a backup before reusing storage for another important shoot.

Compare the package contents carefully

Standard contains the camera’s protective and mounting essentials. Creator adds Mic Pro, a wide-angle lens, battery handle and carry bag. Essential focuses on a Black Mist filter and carry bag; Endurance adds a battery handle. Fill Light adds a mini light, diffusion filter and crossbody strap. The two POV packages use either a neck mount or backpack mount with the head tracker; the backpack version is verified only in Cosmic Black. Zoom adds the telephoto attachment and carry bag. A carry bag is not universal across every Ultra package.

A precision camera needs appropriate care

Insta360’s 240-minute battery rating is measured at 1080p/24fps with the display and Wi-Fi off at 25°C. Higher-resolution shooting, screen use and wireless functions change practical endurance. The separate touchscreen has its own battery. The camera is not waterproof, splashproof or dustproof, so protect it from rain, spray and loose sand rather than treating it as a rugged 360 action camera. Follow model-specific setup guidance and confirm the selected package, compatibility and displayed warranty before payment.

• Standard Bundle: The core dual-camera kit includes protective and mounting essentials. It does not automatically include a carry bag, battery handle or wireless microphone.
• Creator Bundle: Adds Mic Pro, a wide-angle lens, battery handle and carry bag for a more complete recording setup. This is the Ultra Creator package, distinct from Luna Pro’s Creator contents.
• Essential Bundle: Adds the Black Mist filter and carry bag for a light travel setup. It does not add the Creator package’s microphone, battery handle or wide-angle lens.
• Endurance Bundle: Adds the battery handle and carry bag for longer filming sessions. Additional runtime depends on recording settings and usage, rather than a fixed all-modes guarantee.
• Vlog Bundle: Adds Mic Air, a Black Mist filter and carry bag. Choose for compact wireless dialogue and diffusion rather than assuming the Creator package’s Mic Pro is included.
• Fill Light Bundle: Adds a mini fill light, Black Mist filter and crossbody strap. The verified contents do not include a carry bag merely because some other Ultra packages do.
