Apple iMac 24-inch M4 — Four Thunderbolt Ports VESA Mount Adapter + Nano-texture + 24GB RAM + 512GB SSD

Apple iMac 24-inch M4 — Four Thunderbolt Ports Overview

The Apple iMac 24-inch M4 — Four Thunderbolt Ports price in Kenya is KShs 386,000. This all-in-one desktop brings a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU and a detailed 4.5K Retina screen to a home office, creative desk or shared workspace. Four Thunderbolt 4 ports leave more room for external storage and displays, while the included Touch ID keyboard and Gigabit Ethernet make daily sign-in and wired networking convenient. For lighter work with fewer peripherals, compare the Apple iMac 24-inch M4 — Two Thunderbolt Ports; this four-port version adds useful capabilities beyond extra sockets.

10-core M4 for a more demanding everyday desk

The M4 in this model has a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, with a 16-core Neural Engine and 120GB/s memory bandwidth. It suits users moving between spreadsheets, browser research, photo work and supported video-editing applications. Hardware acceleration for H.264, HEVC and ProRes helps compatible media workflows. Performance still depends on the application, effects and project size; a larger GPU or more memory can matter more than an all-in-one design for intensive professional work.

If you already own a suitable display and need more processing headroom, consider the Apple Mac mini with M4 Pro. Include the monitor, webcam, keyboard and audio equipment in that comparison, because the iMac supplies those essentials together.

Choose the memory and storage package for your workload

• 16GB RAM + 256GB SSD: a practical starting point for office applications, study, calls and a modest local file collection. Allow for macOS and applications consuming part of the SSD.
• 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD: keeps the same memory capacity while doubling nominal internal storage. It suits buyers who want more photographs, documents or project files on the computer rather than an external drive.
• 24GB RAM + 512GB SSD: adds memory headroom for larger projects and heavier multitasking while retaining the 512GB SSD. Choose it for a memory need; it does not change the 10-core CPU/GPU.

Unified memory is shared by the CPU and GPU and is not a later user RAM upgrade. External USB-C or Thunderbolt storage can expand file space, but cannot substitute for choosing enough memory. All three listed packages use the same screen resolution and processor configuration; glass finish, mounting and colour are separate choices.

Standard glass or nano-texture?

The 24-inch Retina display measures 23.5 inches diagonally and delivers 4480 × 2520 resolution, P3 wide colour and 500-nit brightness. It gives fine text, detailed photographs and editing interfaces a sharp workspace. True Tone adjusts to ambient lighting, while colour-critical work benefits from controlled lighting and suitable calibration.

Standard glass is the straightforward choice for a desk where reflections can be managed. Nano-texture glass is intended to reduce glare in more difficult lighting, such as a workspace facing bright windows. It does not increase resolution or make the screen touch-sensitive. Choose the finish for the room, and use the included polishing cloth with the nano-texture version according to Apple’s care instructions.

Stand and VESA mounting options

The Stand package is ready to sit on a desk. The VESA Mount Adapter package is intended for a compatible separately purchased monitor arm or wall mount, useful where you need a different screen position or more clear desk surface. Choose the mounting configuration before ordering, and check the mount’s compatibility and load rating. A VESA adapter is not an included arm, and the mounting choice does not change the processor, memory or screen quality.

Four Thunderbolt 4 ports and external display support

All four rear USB-C-shaped ports support Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 at up to 40Gb/s with compatible devices and cables. The computer can run its built-in screen alongside up to two external displays at 6K and 60Hz, or one external display at 8K and 60Hz. That makes room for a reference screen and a separate work area without treating the iMac’s own display as your only canvas.

USB-A accessories, HDMI monitors and memory cards need appropriate separate adapters or a dock. The iMac also has a 3.5mm headphone jack supporting high-impedance headphones. Its built-in panel is not an HDMI input monitor for a console or another computer.

Ethernet, Wi-Fi and a complete calling setup

Gigabit Ethernet is included through the power adapter on this four-port M4 model. It is useful for a permanent office network or local file transfers; it is not a 2.5Gb Ethernet connection. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support wireless networking and peripherals, subject to the router and regional wireless-band availability.

The 12MP Center Stage camera supports automatic framing and Desk View in compatible software. Apple specifies 1080p video recording, not 4K webcam recording. A three-microphone array and six-speaker system handle meetings, lessons and media without requiring a separate webcam or speakers for routine use.

Touch ID keyboard, colour and desk accessories

Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Magic Mouse are included and charge over USB-C. Touch ID makes supported authentication more convenient, although macOS still requires a password in some situations. The Apple Magic Trackpad (USB-C) is a separate option if you prefer gestures. Blue, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Silver and Yellow finishes change the desk’s appearance without changing the selected configuration’s performance.

What comes with the iMac?

The package contains the selected iMac, Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Mouse, 143W power adapter with Gigabit Ethernet, 2m power cord and USB-C charge cable. Nano-texture configurations also include a polishing cloth. An external monitor, VESA arm, hub, storage drive and paid application subscriptions are separate. The computer runs from mains power rather than a rechargeable internal battery.

Who should choose the four-port M4 iMac?

Choose it when you want the complete 4.5K desktop setup and will use the extra connections, Touch ID, wired networking or additional display support. Prioritise 24GB memory for heavier multitasking, 512GB storage for a larger local library, and nano-texture only when the lighting makes it useful. Check specialist application support for macOS and Apple silicon before committing to a course or workplace setup.
