This 11-driver soundbar suits a living room where you want Dolby Atmos height effects and Wi-Fi music without immediately installing rear speakers. Two upward-firing drivers handle height information, while MultiBeam uses your room to spread sound beyond the television. The Bar Only and Bar + Woofer packages offer different starting points: a compact front setup or extra bass hardware from day one.

Bar Only or Bar + Woofer: which package suits your room?

Bar Only keeps the system concentrated beneath the television and leaves the floor free of a separate bass cabinet. It makes sense when simpler placement matters more than the strongest low-frequency impact. Bar + Woofer adds the supplied woofer for buyers who want a separate bass component for film soundtracks and music. Neither package includes rear speakers.

A woofer and rear speakers do different jobs: the former supports low frequencies, while speakers behind you provide physical surround channels. If a complete rear-speaker package is your priority, compare the LG S90TR before deciding how much expansion to budget for.

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and MultiBeam in a real room

The Enchant 1100 supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with two upward-firing drivers for height effects. MultiBeam helps create a wider sound field from the front of the room. Reflected sound depends on the room: an open side, very high ceiling or furniture blocking the drivers can change the result. Keep the top and ends of the bar unobstructed.

Dialogue and music without constant volume changes

TV connections and a separate HDMI source

HDMI eARC is the preferred connection to a compatible television. The bar also has an HDMI input for a source device and an optical connection for older TVs. Its published HDMI video support includes 4K, HDR10 and Dolby Vision; do not assume that this means 4K at 120Hz passthrough. For high-refresh console gaming, connecting the console directly to a compatible TV can be the more suitable route.

Atmos playback also depends on the programme, app, player and TV audio settings. Optical is useful for basic TV audio but is not the connection to choose for lossless Atmos. Check that the TV sends a supported bitstream rather than reducing everything to stereo PCM.

Wi-Fi streaming, Bluetooth and app control
