DJI Osmo 360 II Overview
The DJI Osmo 360 II price in Kenya is KShs 66,500 – KShs 88,500Price range: KShs 66,500 through KShs 88,500. This dual-lens 360° camera captures the scene around you so you can choose the viewing angle after recording: a rider on a winding road, friends on a trip or a walk through a new city. Native 8K/60fps panoramic video, replaceable lenses and 105GB of usable internal storage make it suited to creators who want several perspectives from one take. If you mainly want a straightforward forward-facing action clip, compare the DJI Osmo Action 6 Standard Combo with the extra reframing freedom of the Osmo 360 II.
Capture everything, then choose the frame
The two 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors record a stitched panorama. DJI’s “1-inch 360° imaging” description refers to the imaging area used for panoramic capture; it is not a different sensor-size option. The 8K resolution covers the entire sphere, so a cropped, conventional video does not retain 8K detail across its smaller field of view. For a cycling clip, you can follow the road, turn the view towards yourself or produce a vertical edit from the same recording.
DJI Mimo and DJI Studio handle reframing and panoramic stabilisation during export. Spotlight Follow can keep a chosen subject in a flat video up to 4K/30fps, while single-lens Boost mode supports up to 4K/120fps when you want a conventional action-camera view. Panoramic slow motion reaches 4K/240fps. These are different recording modes, not an 8K/240fps capture specification. Allow time and storage for editing large files, and check your phone or computer against DJI’s software requirements.
Low-light footage, colour and lens care
The f/1.9 lenses and AI SuperNight 2.0 help with evening streets and scenes containing bright signs and darker surroundings. DJI quotes up to 14.5 stops of dynamic range under specific laboratory settings; moving subjects and available light still affect the result. Use Normal colour for a simpler workflow or D-Log M when you intend to grade footage. D-Log M is not available in Photo, Timelapse or Endurance mode.
The protruding lenses now have a user-replaceable design and a tougher coating. That is useful for an action camera that may get scratched during travel, but it does not remove the need for the lens cap and protective pouch. Keep nearby subjects at least 75cm from the camera for better stitching, and avoid placing important detail across the join between lenses. Clean the lenses before recording; marks can spoil both halves of the panorama.
Which DJI Osmo 360 II combo should you choose?
All twelve packages use the same camera. The useful differences are batteries, charging equipment, lens-replacement supplies and mounts. Choose around where you will place the camera and how long you will be away from power.
- Standard Combo: one battery and the basic protection and cable kit. A sensible starting point if you already own compatible mounts.
- Essential Combo: two batteries and the 1.2m dual-direction quick-release invisible selfie stick kit for travel and handheld filming.
- Adventure Combo: three batteries, Battery Case 3, an adjustable quick-release adapter and 1.2m invisible selfie stick kit for longer shooting days.
- Get Set Combo: one battery, a 1.2m invisible selfie stick kit and a single-lens replacement kit. This favours lens-repair readiness over extra battery capacity.
- Limitless Riding Combo: adds the Heavy-Duty Clamp Mount Kit for a compatible motorcycle mounting point.
- Motorcycle Multi-POV Combo: adds the clamp mount kit, Dual Heavy-Duty Clamp and 1m carbon-fibre invisible selfie stick for more positioning options.
- Road Cycling POV Combo: the Biking Accessory Kit and dual-direction quick-release adapter for a cycling POV setup.
- Road Cycling Rear-POV Combo: the Bike Rear Mount Kit, 1m carbon-fibre stick and adjustable quick-release adapter for a rear-mounted view.
- Neck Mount Combo: Hanging Neck Mount Max and a quick-release adapter for hands-free everyday filming.
- Skiing Multi-Angle Combo: a 1.2m dual-direction quick-release selfie stick kit and Third-Person Helmet Mount Kit for handheld and helmet viewpoints.
- Vortex Combo: a rotating handle, 1m carbon-fibre stick and adjustable adapter for deliberate rotating shots in a clear space.
- Diving Combo: the Invisible Waterproof Case, 1.2m dual-direction quick-release selfie stick kit and anti-loss lanyard for underwater filming.
The specialist mounting packages each include one battery; they do not automatically include the Adventure Combo’s three-battery charging setup. Check the mount’s fit and installation instructions for your bike, motorcycle or helmet. A selfie stick can be hidden in a suitable stitched 360° view, but incorrect alignment or other equipment can remain visible.
Storage, charging and sound for a shooting day
The camera has 128GB nominal internal storage, of which 105GB is available, plus support for a compatible microSD card up to 1TB. You can start recording without buying a card; adding one is useful for longer trips and moving files between devices. Choose a card from DJI’s recommended list and back up footage before clearing storage.
The removable 2150mAh battery is rated for up to 100 minutes of 8K/30fps recording under controlled conditions with the screen and several wireless/control features off. This is not a promise of 100 minutes at 8K/60fps in hot weather. The supplied USB-C PD cable supports charging, but a wall charger is not listed in these combo contents. Carry charged spares when continuous access to power is unlikely.
Four built-in microphones capture ambient sound. OsmoAudio supports direct connection to compatible DJI wireless microphones, including DJI Mic 3, Mic 2 and Mic Mini; a wireless microphone is separate from the twelve camera packages listed here. For spoken travel clips, placing a compatible transmitter near the speaker can be more useful than relying on a distant camera microphone.
Waterproofing and underwater image quality
The camera is rated to 10m without a housing, with the battery and USB-C covers properly sealed. DJI nevertheless recommends its Osmo 360 Invisible Waterproof Case for underwater filming because refraction around the fisheye lenses can cause distortion and stitching errors. The case is rated to 50m under test conditions and requires at least 1m between camera and subject underwater. The Diving Combo includes it; the other packages do not.
Is it worth upgrading from the original Osmo 360?
Compared with the original DJI Osmo 360, the clearest reasons to choose the Osmo 360 II are replaceable lenses, native 8K/60fps, updated low-light processing and Spotlight Follow. Both offer 105GB usable internal storage, so storage alone is not an upgrade reason. If you are comparing systems from scratch, also look at the Insta360 X6 and GoPro MAX 2, considering the editing software and total cost of the mounts you actually need.
