DJI Lito 1 Overview

The DJI Lito 1 price in Kenya is KShs 68,000. Lito 1 is a small folding camera drone for learning aerial filming with ActiveTrack and omnidirectional vision assistance. It offers more flight assistance than the DJI Mini 4K Drone, while the DJI Lito X1 Drone adds a larger camera sensor, forward LiDAR and internal storage.

4K video with a straightforward colour workflow

The 48MP 1/2-inch sensor and 26.2mm-equivalent f/1.8 lens provide a wide view for landscapes, simple property footage and travel clips. JPEG and DNG RAW photos give you a choice between quick sharing and editing. Video reaches 4K/60fps, with 4K/100fps slow motion for slowing a short action sequence. 4K and slow motion require H.265-compatible playback and editing.

Normal colour supports 10-bit recording with H.265, but Lito 1 does not offer the D-Log M profile of Lito X1. A three-axis mechanical gimbal steadies footage. Vertical recording reaches 2.7K/60fps using a crop, rather than rotating the camera into portrait orientation. If true portrait capture is your priority, compare the DJI Mini 3 Drone, while noting that Mini 3 lacks Lito 1’s ActiveTrack and omnidirectional sensing.

Standard, Fly More or 140W Charging Combo?

All three listed packages use DJI RC-N3, which needs a compatible phone running DJI Fly as its screen. They share the same camera, aircraft and standard battery type.

  • Standard Kit: aircraft, RC-N3, one Intelligent Flight Battery, USB-C and Lightning controller cables, gimbal protector, screwdriver and one spare propeller pair. Choose it if you already have suitable charging equipment and want the smallest kit.
  • Fly More Combo (RC-N3): three standard batteries in total, three spare propeller pairs, the controller and connection cables, protector, screwdriver, Lito 1 Charging Hub and shoulder bag. It is the package for battery swaps and carrying everything together.
  • 140W GaN Charging Combo: the one-battery Standard Kit with a DJI Power 140W GaN Charger and DJI Power 7A USB-C Digital Display Cable (1m). It does not include the Fly More three-battery set, hub or bag.

The 140W rating describes the charger’s capacity, not the power the drone must draw or a promise that it charges faster than its own limits allow. Select the package around whether you need additional batteries or charging equipment. The Standard and Fly More factory lists do not include a mains adapter or separate charging cable. A microSD card is additional for every package.

Storage and battery preparation

Lito 1 has no internal media storage. Fit a recommended microSD card before a recording session and check the remaining space. Phone connection cables serve the controller; they are not a substitute for a suitable charging cable and USB-C PD supply.

DJI quotes up to 36 minutes with the standard battery in controlled maximum-endurance testing, and a separate typical test figure of 23 minutes in its defined filming-and-return scenario. Neither guarantees your session length. Wind, manoeuvres, temperature and the reserve needed to return and land affect usable time. The standard take-off weight is approximately 249g, with variation between units and additional weight from accessories.

The Fly More hub supports parallel charging of three same-model batteries with a PD charger rated at least 45W, after first bringing the lower batteries to a similar level. DJI quotes approximately 87 minutes for three standard batteries with its 65W charger under test conditions. This is different from older sequential-only Mini charging hubs.

Tracking and obstacle sensing still need supervision

ActiveTrack helps keep a supported moving subject framed, while omnidirectional monocular vision and a downward infrared sensor assist flight. Lito 1 does not have Lito X1’s forward LiDAR. Vision needs adequate light and surfaces with discernible patterns; wires, fine branches and difficult surfaces may be missed. Begin in an open area and maintain room for the aircraft’s path rather than using sensing as a reason to fly close to obstacles.

Choose Lito 1 when you want a compact learning platform with tracking and a relatively simple video workflow. Step up to X1 for D-Log M, a larger sensor and 42GB built-in storage, not merely because both models have 48MP in the headline. For exact recording, charging and card requirements, consult DJI’s official Lito 1 specifications.

4K/60fps and slow motionRecord smooth normal video or 4K/100fps slow motion using compatible H.265 devices.
48MP photos and RAWThe 1/2-inch camera offers JPEG and DNG RAW for sharing or editing.
ActiveTrack assistanceSupported subject following helps create moving shots in a clear, supervised flight area.
Omnidirectional visionVision sensors assist obstacle detection; this model does not have forward LiDAR.
Three practical kit choicesChoose batteries and a bag with Fly More, or charging equipment with the one-battery GaN combo.
Parallel-capable Fly More hubUse same-model batteries and a suitable PD supply of at least 45W for parallel charging after balancing.

Pros

  • Tracking and omnidirectional sensing expand options beyond basic entry drones.
  • Three-axis mechanical gimbal stabilises footage.
  • 4K/60fps and 4K/100fps slow motion support varied edits.
  • RAW photos offer flexibility beyond ready-made JPEGs.
  • Fly More provides three batteries and carrying accessories.
  • GaN Charging Combo includes the power adapter and charging cable explicitly.

Cons

  • No internal storage: a supported microSD card is needed.
  • No D-Log M or forward LiDAR; those are Lito X1 features.
  • All listed kits use a phone-based controller, and vertical recording is cropped.
Does the 140W GaN Charging Combo include three batteries?

No. It contains the one-battery Standard Kit plus the DJI Power 140W GaN Charger and 1m 7A USB-C Digital Display Cable. Fly More is the package with three batteries, hub and bag.

Does a 140W charger mean the drone charges at 140W?

No. The rating is the charger’s maximum capacity. Actual charging is limited by the drone or hub, supported power negotiation, cable and conditions.

Does Lito 1 have a built-in screen controller?

The three packages here all use RC-N3 with a compatible phone running DJI Fly. They do not include DJI RC 2. Check phone and app compatibility before ordering.

Does it need a microSD card?

Yes. Lito 1 has no internal media storage. Add a supported card for original camera photos and video.

What does Lito X1 add?

Lito X1 has a larger 1/1.3-inch sensor, forward LiDAR, D-Log M and 42GB internal storage. Lito 1 uses a 1/2-inch sensor and Normal colour workflow without that internal storage.

Does Lito 1 support 10-bit video?

Yes, Normal colour uses 10-bit with H.265. That does not mean it has D-Log M. H.264 Normal is 8-bit, and 4K/slow-motion modes require H.265.

Is vertical recording native 4K portrait capture?

No. Vertical mode is cropped 2.7K at up to 60fps. The gimbal stabilises the camera but does not rotate it into portrait orientation.

How long do the included batteries last?

The standard battery has up to 36 minutes of controlled maximum test endurance. DJI’s separate typical filming-and-return test is 23 minutes. Real time varies and must include a landing reserve.

Does Fly More include a mains charger?

It includes the hub, but a mains adapter and separate charging cable are not in the listed factory contents. The GaN Charging Combo includes charging equipment but not the Fly More hub or extra batteries.

Can obstacle sensing see every hazard?

No. It needs suitable lighting and surface detail, and may miss fine branches, wires or difficult surfaces. Lito 1 has no forward LiDAR. Supervise tracking and maintain a clear route.
