PlayStation 5 Limited Editions

PlayStation 5 Limited Editions Overview

The PlayStation 5 Limited Editions price in Kenya is KShs 108,000. The Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bundle brings the original 825GB PS5 disc console together with symbiote-inspired black-and-red covers, a matching DualSense controller and a digital copy of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition. It suits a fan who wants the console itself to reflect the game, while keeping access to compatible physical discs and digital purchases. If the design is less important, compare the standard PlayStation 5 before paying for the themed package.

What makes the Spider-Man 2 edition different?

This is a complete console bundle, not a set of replacement covers. The dark symbiote artwork spreads across the red detailing, with Spider-Man branding carried onto the matching controller. That coordinated hardware is the main reason to choose it over a plain PS5, especially for a visible living-room setup or a gift for a fan.

The design does not give it a faster processor than an equivalent original PS5. It is also not the smaller PS5 Slim chassis or a PS5 Pro. For a more compact console with a different package selection, compare the PlayStation 5 Slim. Check the actual storage and drive option when comparing prices rather than relying on the PS5 name alone.

The included game is a download, even though the console has a disc drive

Sony specifies a voucher for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Standard Edition in this limited-edition bundle. You redeem the entitlement and download the game; the package should not be understood as including a Spider-Man 2 Blu-ray disc or the Digital Deluxe Edition. A suitable PlayStation account, internet access and compliance with the voucher’s regional terms are required.

The game is a single-player adventure. Having Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the story does not make it a two-player local co-op game. The supplied controller is enough for one person to play; a second controller is useful for other games that explicitly support local multiplayer.

825GB SSD: fast loading with a finite library capacity

The advertised internal storage is 825GB, with a lower amount available for your games after system software and reserved space. Large installations and updates make it worth thinking about the other games you want to keep alongside Spider-Man 2. A disc-based library still uses internal storage because games need to be installed.

A compatible M.2 SSD can expand PS5 game storage, subject to Sony’s interface, performance, size and cooling requirements. An ordinary USB drive is useful for archiving PS5 games, but PS5 titles must be moved back to supported internal or M.2 storage to play. Do not buy external storage solely by its capacity without checking the intended use.

A disc drive for physical games and films

The built-in drive lets you use compatible PS5 discs and supported PS4 discs alongside downloads from your account. Keep a game disc inserted when it is required to prove ownership, and allow for any updates or additional downloads. Backward compatibility covers the overwhelming majority of PS4 games, not every accessory or every title ever released on PlayStation.

The drive also supports compatible Blu-ray movie media, including Ultra HD Blu-ray. This is useful if your console doubles as the living-room entertainment player. Your television, audio setup and the specific content still determine what picture and sound formats you can use.

DualSense feedback and the display you pair with it

The matching DualSense offers the familiar PS5 controller features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in supporting games. In a game built around web-swinging and combat, these effects can add useful texture beyond the picture on the screen. Their implementation varies between titles, and they do not make the controller exclusive to Spider-Man 2.

PS5 supports 4K output and up to 120fps in compatible games and modes. It is not a promise of native 4K at 120fps in every title. A supported high-refresh display is needed to see the relevant high-frame-rate modes, while a conventional HDMI television can still be used. Select the game’s picture or performance mode to suit how you prefer to play.

Setting up the original PS5 chassis

This original-model bundle uses the PS5 base supplied for that chassis. Position the console securely and leave its vents clear; a narrow enclosed cabinet is a poor match for long gaming sessions. Accessories and decorative covers intended for PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro should not be assumed to fit the original model.

The DualSense has an internal rechargeable battery and charges through USB-C. Budget separately for another controller, a headset or a charging station if you need them. An ongoing PlayStation Plus subscription is not part of the stated bundle, and most paid online multiplayer games require an appropriate subscription.

Who should choose this bundle?

Choose this edition when the Spider-Man artwork and matching controller are part of the appeal and you want the included game. If your priority is stronger graphics in enhanced titles, compare the PlayStation 5 Pro on its hardware merits and total accessory cost instead.
